Kathleen, a science illustrator who resides in Sioux Falls, SD, has more than a decade of experience illustrating in various scientific fields. She has been published in archaeological and medical journals and papers as well as various publications.
In her own words, “Illustrating the sciences gives me joy in a way that no other artistic endeavor provides. Rather than being driven by the imaginative and creative process, the pay-off for me is that I get a front-row seat to the discoveries of various scientists. Whether it be an archaeologist, medical doctor, or research scientist, I am often brought into a project when the hard work has culminated into an exciting conclusion. My illustrations are published in scientific journals and papers, far from the public eye, but to have the honor to represent these scientists’ findings so that they may communicate them to others is both exciting and rewarding.”
